The Derrick Club - A Classic Golf Experience


The Derrick Club’s 18-hole championship golf course, redesigned by Jeff Mingay in 2015, has a distinct layout reminiscent of classic course architecture of the 1930s. The course is fun for recreational golfers and offers plenty of challenges for low-handicap players.

Our Golf Professionals are always on hand to help you with any equipment and apparel needs. You’ll find the latest golf fashions from head to toe from brands like Adidas, Nike, Footjoy, Travis Matthew, and Galvin Green and many more.

We’ve also got you covered when it comes to new clubs. Looking to add yards with a new driver or find a new putter that can’t miss? We’ll get you set up with the best gear from manufacturers like Titleist, Ping, TaylorMade, Cobra, Callaway, and more. The Derrick Club Pro Shop can outfit golfers of all ages, sizes, and abilities with the right equipment.

Virtual Golf

The Derrick Golf and Winter Club is home to the Fath Virtual Golf Centre. As a member of The Derrick, you can play golf all summer long outdoors on our championship golf course and all year long indoors at some of the world’s finest golf courses on one of two Trackman golf simulators.

Golf Performance Centre

The Performance Centre is a great place to improve your game all year long. Whether you are looking to learn the game for the first time or have some goals you want to reach in your game for 2024 we can assist you. Your Professional Team are available for private, semi private and group instruction year round.

The Derrick Club’s friendly and knowledgeable golf professionals are always ready to help improve your game, regardless of age or ability.

Our golf professionals and fitness staff work closely together to maximize individual members’ training. By incorporating golf and athletic conditioning into a single premier establishment, The Derrick Club can take your game to the next level.

The Derrick Club along with our golf professionals offer comprehensive developmental programs for players of all levels. Improve your game with a private lesson. Private lessons offer one on one coaching- the opportunity to make the most significant improvement in your game. We will develop a long-term plan for success and utilize the latest technology to assist you in reaching individual goals.

Learn with a friend in a semi private or group lesson. Group lessons are a fun way to learn how to golf in a relaxed atmosphere. Each session is 1 hour. Players of different abilities are welcome in a group.
Enhance targeted areas of your game in a workshop. Workshops allow a maximum of 6 students and run for 2 hours.

Junior Golf

The Derrick Club’s Junior Golf Program is second to none. It is designed to introduce the game of golf to new juniors and assist in the development of experienced junior golfers.

The program offers a variety of activities for juniors of all ages and abilities to ensure kids have fun while learning and playing golf in a comfortable environment. By introducing children to golf and helping them navigate through various stages of recreational or competitive programming, we can deliver the most comprehensive development system regardless of skill set or abilities.

Junior members can learn the game or improve their skills by signing up for the Derrick Junior Golf Program or any of our junior clubs, lessons, or tournaments.

Events

Gather a group of your closest girlfriends for our themed Ladies Member/Guest golf event or spend a day with the boys at our Men’s Member/Guest.

The Derrick Club holds a variety of ladies, men’s and junior golf events and tournaments throughout the season. Social, athletic and golf members are welcome to join us for social golf events such as Golf & Seafood Fest and Expect the Unexpected.
